Side Hustle Summary – December 17

side hustle summary

The festive season was awfully hectic and I’m sure I set new records for the amount of food and drink I got through.

However, I still managed to hustle on the side to bring in extra income so I can make extra investments.

Let’s see if all those mince pies slowed the side hustle down.

Yay – I broke the 1k mark!

It’s a warm feeling to reach this milestone in just a few months of starting these summaries. It feels even better that it was achieved in December, the month that’s meant to be for extra spending, not extra earning!

lets delve a little deeper to see how this was done:

Work, work, work

My part-time job as a catering manager at sporting event venues brang in most of the income in December. The casual nature of the contract means that I can work when I chose to work. If I don’t wish to work… then you already know what will happen.

It can swing both ways, If management decide that they don’t need me then they don’t have to offer me work. But I have built my reputation in this sector for over 10 years now so I am often called upon.

Another benefit of working on a casual contract is that I get holiday pay, instead of annual leave. Some of this holiday pay was cashed in for December which helped to boost my total for December.

My 1st sale!

Another milestone; I sold my Nintendo Classic Mini Super NES.

To be honest, I shouldn’t be bragging. As you can see I made  only £10 profit (bought for £70 and sold for £80).

As I found out extra stock was coming for Mini SNES’, I went for the quick sell to a friend.

Hopefully this is just the start of a long, prosperous side hustle.

Elsewhere, I struggled to get anything from Task360 and I got waaay less than I normally get for the Job Spotter app. I’ll blame the cold weather and busy schedule for now.

Decembers result has me overly excited for the side hustle in 2018. I’m sure most months won’t be this successful but it’s definitely something to aim towards.

Please let me know of any easy side hustles I should be doing this year. All suggestions welcome!

Side Hustle Summary – November 17

Here we are again! another Side Hustle Summary.

As far as I’m concerned, the more I hustle, the more I can invest & build my portfolio!

In October, being away for 2 weeks affected the side hustle. Let’s see how November went without any downtime.

So, all in all, a very pleasing month. Nearly doubling October’s effort! I hope to make it past the 1k mark sometime soon.

Made money with Task360 again by doing a vape shop audit – such easy money. I recommend that everyone tries this app.

This is probably the last post before the 25th so I’d like to wish everyone a fantastic Christmas and festive season. Please go easy on the holiday hustle!

Side Hustle Summary – October 17

side hustle summary

Welcome back to another Side Hustle Summary!

October was a relatively slow month for the hustle given that I was away for 2 weeks.

Yet still, some decent cash was earned. Let’s have a quick look

So this month was a lot less than September but still a decent result.

I managed to break ground in 2 ways; first, I used the Job Spotter app in Miami to earn abroad for the first time! As you can see, it was a tiny amount but I still feel like an élite globalist.

Secondly, I earned for the first time on Task360! this app is all about data collection. I was paid to audit two signs which took 5 minutes a piece. Everything went smoothly and the money reached my account in good time. Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be many tasks in my area so repeat income won’t be easy but we shall see.

That’s it for this instalment. Hit me up with ideas to make more money in the comment section below!

Until next time, happy hustling!

Side Hustle Summary – September 17

side hustle summary

Earn more, to invest and save more. This is the Side Hustle Summary.

I can’t say it enough: I’ve been embarrassingly dumb with money over the years. Mistake after mistake. frivolous spend after frivolous spend.

However, that’s the past. Now, large amounts of income that I bring in is invested and saved.

Let’s see September’s side hustle income

Very happy with making £864.91 in September but it involved a lot of hard work! long shifts on weekends and evenings at the part-time jobs, on top of a busy 9-5.

The Job Spotter app near enough doubled from last month. it truly is an efficient earner. each ‘job’ takes roughly 15 seconds to complete and I only need my smart phone!

I’d love to say this month’s strong side hustle performance has had a big performance on passive income and portfolio but sadly a lot of money went towards the holiday (vacation) to Miami & Jamaica earlier this month. Still, I was able to make investment purchases valuing £572.64 so there’s a decent balance.

If you caught this months Wealth Building and Income Update, you’ll know that I plan to sell a SNES Classic Mini to raise extra cash. I hope to then sell on more items as time permits to in increase my side-hustle income.

My question for you is… Where are the best places to sell items other than Ebay?

Side Hustle Summary – August 17

side hustle summary

I’m a side hustle-r. Ask about me.

I appreciate how late this post is but September has been a bit crazy with work (damn side hustles!).

Looking at my monthly income reports it’s clear that it is a slow grind. I’m fine with this as I am playing the long game, but to reach my financial goals as quickly as possible, a turbo boost is required.

That turbo boost is the side hustle…. Vrrrmmmmmm.

What is a side hustle?

Side hustles are incomes made other than the 9-5 and the passive income. Consider it the 3rd shard of the Triforce (Zelda fans make yourselves known).

side hustle

Why report it?

  1. Self-motivation
  2. Idea sharing with others
  3. Encourage others to start side-hustling
  4. Accountability

Self-explanatory enough for you? great! let’s get stuck in…

Weirdly, we’ll start with the roundest figure. £0 for flips, I want to develop this area and already have some items on the way to resell. If anyone is strong in this area, be sure to hit me up!

Now, £421.25 is pleasing. It means more money to invest and save and hopefully more money left at the end of the month.

The bulk of the side hustle income is from part-time work. I’ve been lucky enough to work my way up to management positions at various venues across London. I’m passionate about food & drink as well as customer service so it’s a pleasure to make decent money in this area.

The Job Spotter app is most rewarding. It literally takes a few seconds to complete a task and the pay off quickly adds up. I’m not mad that the pay comes in Amazon gift vouchers as I use Amazon more than I probably should.

I have previously written about Google Rewards and Quidco so check here if you missed it.
